This department was formed on the basis of Research Institute of Coal Preparation, Tangshan Branch of CCRI. It has 180 staff members, of whom 10 are professors, 69 are senior engineers and 70 are engineers. In recent 10 years, It has made more than 120 research achievements, of which 64 research achievements won national, ministerial, or provincial awards of science and technology advance and 38 got national patents.
